The Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi,nim, has congratulated DIG Muhammad Hussaini Gumel on the successful completion of his distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force.
Dr. Dan’agundi made this statement in Gumel, Jigawa State, during a grand reception organized by the people of his hometown in honor of DIG Gumel, celebrating his successful and meritorious retirement, where he personally extended his warm congratulations and appreciation for a career marked by dedication, professionalism, and impactful service. He noted that the people of Kano State and indeed Nigeria are immensely proud of DIG Gumel’s outstanding performance, particularly during his tenure as Commissioner of Police in Kano State.
According to him, DIG Gumel stands as a symbol of excellence, discipline, and commitment to duty. He described him as a role model whose leadership and work ethic remain exemplary, adding that Kano State will continue to take pride in his remarkable contributions to peace and security.
Dr. Dan’agundi further highlighted that during his time as Commissioner of Police, DIG Gumel strongly embraced community policing, a strategy that significantly enhanced intelligence gathering and curtailed criminal activities across the state.
Speaking on life after retirement, Dr. Dan’agundi commended DIG Gumel for his foresight and preparedness. He emphasized that, unlike many retirees who struggle due to lack of planning, DIG Gumel has positioned himself for a fulfilling post-service life, particularly through his engagement in large-scale farming. He noted that the retired DIG has expressed satisfaction and enthusiasm as he now devotes more time and energy to his agricultural pursuits.
Dr. Dan’agundi concluded by offering prayers for continued success, prosperity, and peace in the life of DIG Gumel, wishing him a rewarding and impactful new chapter beyond public service.
